The Ara Earring from artist Shima Hotta features a slightly concave and rounded triangle shape with a uniquely textured finish. The backs are unfinished brass and include the Shima logo.

About Shima Jewelry
Nagano-based artist Shima Hotta began her career in the late '80s studying pottery in Seattle and California. It was during this time that she developed an appreciation for the beauty of handmade goods. After returning to Japan, she continued her ceramic work, eventually exploring new materials and becoming fascinated with the interaction between fire and metal. Today, she combines both disciplines to create esoteric jewelry with organic finishes under the Shima label.
